Task Forces

The Executive Committee studied the issues raised in reports received from the Communications, Membership, and Strategic Planning Task Forces that were submitted for consideration during ICAP in Paris.  In turn, the Executive Committee voted unanimously to request that the Board of Directors establish three new task forces: Congresses, Governance, and Strategic Planning.

The case for examining the International Congresses of Applied Psychology is summarized in the Congresses document shown below in the Terms of Reference section of this page. Likewise, governance of IAAP emerged as an issue worth further attention, as summarized in the governance document presented below.  In both cases, the recommended task forces are based on information contained in three reports to the Board:  9-2 IAAP Task Force on Membership Report.pdf9-3 IAAP Task Force on Communication.pdf, and 9-4 IAAP Task Force on Strategic Goals.pdf.  Finally, the need for setting specific goals for IAAP is evident in the report from the previous Strategic Planning Task Force, as summarized below.

The Terms of Reference for the Congresses, Governance, and Strategic Planning Task Forces were approved by the IAAP Board of Directors during its meeting in Paris on July 8, 2014.
