Division 13 (Traffic and Transportation Psychology) of the IAAP and the ICTTP6 Organizing Committee are now inviting bids to host the Seventh International Conference on Traffic and Transport Psychology, in 2020.
The inaugural ICTTP in 1996 was held in Valencia, Spain, with subsequent conferences hosted in Berne, Switzerland (2000), Nottingham, UK (2004), Washington, USA (2008), and Groningen (2012). Division members are also preparing for the Sixth International Conference on Traffic and Transport Psychology (ICTTP6), which will be held in Brisbane, Australia, 2-5 August 2016 and will be hosted by QUT’s Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety – Queensland (CARRS-Q), and Griffith University’s Menzies Health Institute Queensland. The conference theme is: “UN Decade of Action for Road Safety: The Half-way Point”. The conference will feature a strong programme of keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations, workshops and symposia. Each conference has been highly successful, and ICTTP has become a permanent feature of traffic and transportation psychology’s international calendar.
Coverage of topics is broad, and the conference attracts both academic researchers and practitioners. At ICTTP5, with around 340 delegates, 230 individual papers were delivered, as well as 10 symposia and three keynote addresses covering a wide range of traffic and transport related topics. IAAP Division 13 plays a key role in assessing ICTTP bids. Division 13 business meetings are part of the ICTTP scheduled program.
Evaluation of bids for ICTTP7 will be conducted by a joint committee representing Division 13 and the ICTTP6 Organizing Committee. Full bids are now invited for ICTTP7, which should as a minimum include details of the following:
Bids should be submitted by email to Lisa Dorn, President of Division 13 firstname.lastname@example.org. Earlier submission will be appreciated. We hope to announce the venue of ICTTP7 at ICTTP6 in Brisbane.
